Brewing guide for El Alisal - May - June subscription coffee

This month’s subscription coffee is El Alisa Typica Mejorado from Ecuador.

What captivated us most about this coffee wasn’t an intense fermentation profile or overwhelming fruit character, but its remarkable balance.

Elegant florals, ripe peach sweetness and bright grapefruit-like acidity come together in a cup that feels vibrant, transparent and incredibly easy to enjoy.

To help you get the most out of this coffee, we’ve put together a brewing guide video featuring the recipe we’re currently enjoying most at the roastery.

Of course, every setup is different. Your grinder, water and personal preferences will all influence the final cup, so think of this recipe as a starting point rather than a rule.
